We made it to Great Bridge with our group from Maine and couldn't pick a better spot for a Thanksgiving meal. History of the area goes back to 1700's and the beginings of our country. We all brought a portion of the meal and shared our thoughts on the trip so far. It was little surprise that we all shared our two journeys, one on the sea and the other through life. It was an enjoyable evening with our new found friends.

Your flotilla looks awesome there in Great Bridge. Good luck heading South.

Rodger shared Thanksgiving with us yesterday. He's well fed, well rested (sorta), and under way early today (Friday) from Little Creek. He's heading for the Dismal Swamp canal.

Keep us posted on your progress. It will be interesting to see if you guys reconnect with, or stay ahead of, Strider.

BTW ... my avatar picture was taken in the Great Bridge locks :)

Just got back from fishing the locks about an hour ago, thinking "those are some nice looking boats" when I saw them tied up ;)

That was us Cool Beans. We had two more join the group and we needed to do some repairs so they could get down the Ditch. We dug through the spare parts bin on each others boats and found enough to get the repairs done. Turkey soup and leftovers for everyone last night. (We travel with some pretty good cooks). If you stop by you'll find that we are just as crazy as it looks on paper.
