Gravity wins

It's gotten worse for me as I get older. I've had a few nasty sunburns in the past few years and already this year I felt it on the back of my neck after a hike that was mostly in the woods (but the trees weren't fully leafed out then). I see a dermatologist more often than any other doctor. I'm more than a little worried about the years of exposure.

They were saying on NHPR that NH has one of the highest rates per capita of skin cancer in the country. They attribute it to long Winters and desperation for Summer. I don't know the stats for anywhere else, but any Northern state could make that claim. Maybe NH elite spend more time in Naples and Saint Pete or maybe cooler Summers means less Sun block.
The worst sunburn I've ever had was falling asleep on a beach in Maine under overcast skies on my 1st wedding anniversary. My wife, Linda, and I would bribe eachother to get out of bed to grab the burn lotion.

OK.. You guys have drifted from the original Gravity winning, taking the crew member down through the cabin hatch to:
SUN BURN. Well in that spirit I provide this bit of interesting info for your summer romps...

Looks good but don't keep the tubes in the medicine cabinet. You don't want to get it mixed up with the toothpaste.

That cream restricts blood flow to stop the sting, soothing cream, and instant pain relief. Really!!
