I'm trying to enter some waypoints. The locations I have been given use two decimals. For example: N39.04.70 My Gps readout uses only one decimal. I am assuming that the first set of decimals separates degrees/minutes/seconds (but the 70 "seconds" looks fishy). Do I need to do a conversion from sixtieths to hundredths, or can I just enter numbers as they appear?

Setup

You should be able to use a "Setup" to tell the GPS unit how data is to be entered and displayed. All I have seen, even going back over 5 years, allow you to select various entry modes such as, seconds or minutes with decimal i.e., 50' 15" or 50.25" If your seeing a ".70" then you are in decimal mode.
