Hey out there! Does anyone know if there is a good online guide for current modeling in the Puget Sound basin? Geek that I am, I would love to be able to see a visual reference of how the current flows in the sound.

I remember an exhibit at the Pacific Science Center when I was a kid that was a giant water filled map of the sound where they pumped water in and out to simulate tides. It was awesome. Does anything like that exist in silico? If not, do you have a favorite way to gauge the current in various parts of the sound?

Not exactly what your looking for, but if you have an iPhone, the navionics apps will show tide and currents for some locations - not everywhere if you trying to use it for something like racing, but if cruising its helpful as it would show currents and speeds at various times for significant areas like Agate pass, etc.

Of course it would sure be nice to have something like the Washburn tables for puget sound.
