Good Old Boat

Hi everybody,

Cleaning up my book case today I found an article about the Vega. It was
published in the Good Old Boat Magazine, March 1999. It is a fotocopy and I
don't know how I got it.
The Good Old Boat Magazine bought the rights to publish all the chapters to
John Vigor's book: 'Twenty Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere'.

The magazine started with the Vega.
At the end of the article there is a comment of Timothy Gill.
Does anyone know this book, this article? If somebody is interested in this
article I can send it to you by e-mail, if the thing succeeds. The 6 pages
of the article are too much to send to the e-group, I think. So let me know your
personal e-mail address if you are interested.

Ciao,

Hi Yvonne: If it is not too much trouble could you E-mail a copy of the of the Good Old Boat Vega article to us at nazvilusa@.... Thank-you in advance. My wife, Debra, has a Masters Degree from the University at Brussels and has a number of close friends in the Netherlands. My last boat before our Vega was a Rhodes 25' called a Meridian and it was built at E. DeVries Van Lentsch in Holland in 1962 (Sail #44). I loved that boat and it was perfect for sailing on Lake Champlain in Vermont, but here on Long Island Sound, our Vega is a real confidence builder. Thanks again.........Regards Jim Villa and Debra Nazar

Hello

If someone could forward that article from the good old
boats magazine, I would appreciate it. I am not yet a
Vega owner , but I am certainly drooling at the prospect of becoming one.

Thanks

Hi Bob,

Of course I can e-mail you that
article. Please give me your personal e-mail address, because the file is too
big (6 pages) to send via e-groups.

Ciao,
Yvonne.

Yvonne,
Sid Rosen reprinted the article about the vega in the american
newsletter a couple of years ago (with permission). Interesting,
isn't it.
There is a web site www.goodoldboat.com run by the
magazine. The offer back copies on paper or on-line but they say the issue
with the Vega is no longer available.

Hi John,
It is really interesting what you wrote me about the Vigor's article in the
AVA Newsletter of Sidney Rosen. Thanks for the url of Good Old Boat Magazine. I
am happy I got acquainted with him via internet and after that had a
one-year e-mail contact with him.
Ciao,
Yvonne.

Hi All,

For what it's worth, this month's Good Old Boat magazine has an
article about my MD6A's demise. There's also a couple of good plugs
for the Beta, even a picture. On the page of the article there's a
picture from the cockpit of Blue Fin.

They did make a mistake on the author bio when describing the length
of the Vega.

Cheers!

Hi All,

Don't think anyone on the list has mentioned this. The current issue
of Good Old Boat has a nice article on Matt Rutherford and his
achievements. The article focusses a fair amount on the prepping and
performance of his good old Vega, St. Brendan, as well as on the Vega
in general.
