Golf cart Batteries

My H376 has an SRM4D Interstate battery as a house battery ( it was installed by the PO ) with a Freedom 20 Inverter/Charger. The battery needs to be replaced (bad cell) and I could never find an AH rating for that battery so I'm thinking about installing 2 golf cart batteries instead (space permitting) and if there are any kind of settings to change on the Freedom 20 and how should they be cabled?

Hi David - I've been very happy with the performance of 6V golf cart batteries. Wired in series to provide 12V, they are economical, easier to move around, robust and reliable. Treat them like any flooded battery by checking electrolyte levels periodically. You shouldn't have to change the settings on your charger. Have a great weekend! Trevor
