O.k., I have a Horizon WS45 (that is inoperable) circa 1995 but I'm really not sure. I have called Standard Com. and I was told that if I send them the unit as well as well as the mast head assembly they would test it and replace faulty equipment for a small fee. The problem is that the mast is up and I am 6'3" and weigh in at 240 and I really dont like the chair thing going up the mast. Is there an safer and economical way to traverse this mast (tall rig) to get the mast head head assembly. Is this piece of equipment worth replacing. Thanks alot for any input.

Mast ho

Jeff, the options you have are to have a friend go up or to get professional help. If the manufacturer is willing to try to repair it, it seems worth doing, because the alternate is a new unit with wiring issues, etc.

I found a webbed ladder that slides up the mast. It has the same cars on it that the main has so it just fits in the track and hoist away! I found it on Craigs List for $50. Not bad and it looks brand new. Thanks for the reply, Jeff
