In recent electrical repairs I had to pull down (or pull back, actually)some carpet to access the wires leading to the overhead cabin light I was replacing. it`s now time to secure the carpet before mounting the light. I`m thinking Gorilla glue which I just happen to have a supply of . What say ye??

3M General Trim Adhesive. Comes in a spray can with great nozzle. You can spray it on a dime from 6 feet - very controllable. Vent the cabin, however, if you plan to be in there long.

Yeah.. I want to put it back. I`ve been scrubbing on it, (laying on my back with goggles on) and shop vaccing it dry as I go along. Just doing V berth now so I can install the new overhead cabin light, the rest will be done on bad weather days, I can always work inside..Thanks (as always ) for the replies guys.

If you use the spray glue, spray glue on both the wall and the back of the carpet and then wait a minute to stick the carpet up.

Yep. And make absolutely sure that it is where you want it when you stick it back up.
The first time.

Used the 3m 77 last night. Worked great, bullet proof this AM. $30.00 / can at WM
Now I`m halfway hoping more carpet comes loose so I can use it again!!
