Glaucester 22

WHat is the weight of the Glaucester 22 fixed keel, what is it made of; What is the added weight of the retrac swing keel which swings out of the fixed keel housing? THe displacement of the boat net is 2400 pounds. 1985 Glaucester 22

The Gloucester 22 is a great boat ... sleek and fast. I owned a 1985 model for 5 years before stepping up to a Catalina 320. I believe the ballast of the keel was 750 pounds giving it a ratio of 31% ballast to displacement. The swing blade had little weight and served to keep the boat from "slipping" when beating to weather. I had two head sails for her ... a 100% jib and a 150% Genny.Hope this helps ....Johns/v Lady K

I had a 1990 G-22 and they are great boats.The keel weights 700# and the centerboard about 100 if I remember correctly.
