Very happy I hauled. I went down to my marina earlier today and found the boat two boats to my left had snapped the piling and sunk!!! This meant the boat that would have been right next to me (had I not hauled) was not secured on the bow on the port side and was swinging WAY into my slip!! I don't think there is any way I could have avoided some serious damage as the unsecured boat was violently bucking right where my boat would have been. I originally was going to ride it out and had doubled and tripled my lines but then read on this forum about how unsecured boats can pose a really big hazard and that made up my mind. I weathered it out ok at a marina a few miles away with only about 8-10 inches of surge water under my boats jack stands. She seemed no worse for wear and if anything much cleaner
