Gifted a Loos & Co PT-2

So I was given the gift of a Loos PT-2 Tension Gauge. I've always used a tape and eyeball to tune my rig. Just looking for some feed back ( experience) with this unit. Looks like this gauge will be an adjunct to my tape and eye as it will give definitive tension all around but not replace my current method..Thanks all, Rick

I think I have the PT-2 - I haven't used it in a while/ Tension is not something that I check every year. However, I have found it to be easy to use and I can't think of a better method to get accurate tensions. The last time my rig was setup, my rigger with 30+ years of experience did it as part of a larger job. I asked if he used a gauge and he told me that he set it by feel.
Always checking and re-checking, I measured the tension after he was done. All the shrouds were spot on except one was 100# different than its corresponding mate. The 100# difference is insignificant. So experience plays a great part in this process.
