Need to pull a couple wires across the bump in the floor between the main salon and the head. Tried a wire pulling snake and could never get it to the other side. I have no idea where it went but not where I needed it to. Any tips would be great!!!!! Thanks

There is at least one hole through "the bump in the floor" that the hose to the holding tank from the head passes through- it is near the outside (starboard) end of the holding tank. There is probably room for a wire there

I need to get the wire from the starboard side to the port side. New antenna wire and the wire for a new masthead unit.

Antenna wire and masthead wires do not go down to and through the floor. They come through the deck under the mast and go to port inside the overhead beam between main salon and head. Unscrew the little reading lamp on the port side beam and fish with your fingers inside that hole. With a little luck you should find the wires and maybe even a pulling rope. The bad news is that unless your mast is down and you can clear the sealing caulking inside the chase hole going though the mast step, you're not going to be able to pull anything through as it will be froze solid in that caulking. Good luck.

When a PO did the compression post and beam, before I had to fix it, the wires were run down along the post and under the sole beneath the holding tank. When we put in the aluminum 3" square tube, the wires were run down the inside and reconnected.

My wiring runs down and into the floor but seems to run back into the bump on the floor. Looking at it shouldn't be to difficult to pull the wires across. However it has proven to be.

H-34 Mast Wiring

Herre are a couple of shots of the wiring in my '85 model.. The antenna wire, as Claude and others say, comes through deck then runs to port side through the beam.. On my boat the mast lights and wind instrument wires run down the post and then under the floor aft.. One picture (with the tape measure) shows the white antenna wire going left of the batch that go down the post.. other pictures show the wires (mast head wind and lights) exiting the post at the floor and going under floor..

You won't get anything through the bottom rib. There is a solid piece of wood in the middle where the mast post sits. There are wires and plumbing that run from side to side just in from of that rib under the sole. You might be able to use and existing wire there as a pull string.

Thank you! That was what I needed to know. I will not waste any more time trying to get through the rib. I will look for another way across.
