getting ready to head south for the winter

My wife Lita and I are preparing to leave Lake Champlain next week to head south to Florida and then to the Carribbean for the winter.

Any recommendations for what we should bring along with us? Clothes? provisions? tools? other gear?

Hi Doug,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply and all of the excellent ideas.

I've installed a dodger, and I just got a bimini to install. it will require modification to go around the backstay, but I'll get it to work. I also have a silver reflective tarp that fits over the boom when motoring or anchoring. That'll give us as much sun and wind protection as possible.

The idea of a wetsuit was completely new to me. Thanks for that!
