Just checked FedEx tracking and my new sails are out for delivery!!!!
So to update, we have a working engine, new compass, new batteries, replaced the front hatch and have new teak hand rails to install.
My friend is a good woodworker and is going to help me design and build a galley. All the standing rigging was found below decks and new spreaders have arrived.
The last big thing left is to fix the 1/2" hole that was drilled in the hull into the bilge and order the graphics for the hull to copy Jammin of old. The final touch is the bag of garlic tied to the bow pulpit to counteract anyone bringing bananas aboard. Then she should be launch ready!!!

Here is a photo of Jammin taken in Alaska back in 1990

Congrats. It's a great feeling to bring an old boat back from the brink. I have to admit you sent me on a Google search about bananas on a boat. The garlic can't hurt. No doubt you've done an appropriate purge of the boat's former name too.

Luckily the boat did not have a name on it!! I'm pure. LOL
My friend named his boat BAD JUJU.

Half way through our Alaska trip Bobby was going to change the boat name from JAMMIN to CAMPFIRE because no matter which way we sat, it was blowing in our face. Olga, the Volvo penta engine only could make 3 knots and we had a hard time getting sails up on the inside passage.

I'll never forget that trip Kermit. It was about the best 4 months of my life. Just me and my big brother sailing some of the most beautiful country on earth. Catching salmon, panning for gold, digging clams and oysters. Beer flowing like water. Laughing after every event that damn near killed us.
We got caught in a huge storm. It was pouring out. I look over to Bobby and say what do you think man. Bobby just says "I'd keep sailing, I don't the the heavy stuff is gonna come down for quite some time". He was so funny. The one time we got a chute up, it was blowing like mad. Damn sail blew while I was under it. Sounded like the mast snapped. I look back and Bobby is laughing his ass off. He said I hit that deck flat and was about a half of an inch thick. I look the other way towards the sail and I start laughing as the sail ripped up both tapes from the bottom up and was blowing in the wind like a shirt on a clothes line.

Here's an old photo of me and JAMMIN SR. I'm getting the same graphics made right now for JAMMIN Jr. Should be finished in 4 weeks according to the sign shop. They are coming to the house to install the graphics.
