i recently mounted the new stainless steel "arch" on top of the steering pedestal.its a great handhold when moving around the pedestal. the mainsheet attaches to the top also. its very rigid and secure.i also mounted two 12 inch stainless steel hand rails vertically,externally on each side of the companionway hatch.they seem strong,look nice and make the cockpit riders more secure with something to hold onto.i saw some on a website mounted inside the companionway.
