I guess it depends on what type genset
If you are just talking about a portable gas one like those little Honda 2kW ones, I have heard of a few that can carry it in the lazarrete and place it under the helm seat or on the swim platform for use As for a permanently installed genset I have heard of one or two but they are very tight and need custom installations (shelves, etcs) to put one in. Catalina doesn't "pre-design" a location for a genset like on some of the bigger boats. The few places I have heard a Genset going is in the aft deep lazarretes where someone made a custom shelve/braket for it.
