Has anyone rebedded the genoa tracks on the h37.5. I have purchased this boat and I have checked and I can't see where the bolts come thru the deck. I am wondering if the screws/bolts on the genny track are embedded in something. Thanks Mike McMahon

Behind the wood trim beneth the portlights

They are mostly thru bolted. The wood trim below the portlights hides the nuts and bolt ends. There are 4 that are not thru bolted however. They are the two that fall on the bulkhead between the head and salon on the starboard side and the aftmost ones on both sides. Those are just run into the fiberglass. VERY easy to strip!! I marked my track with red paint on these locations so I'd know not to put the car there. I'm afraid that the bolts will flex and start leaking again. You are going to want to get a BIG screw driver to remove/install the bolts. All told it was a pretty easy job. Having the first mate hold the wrench on the nut is helpfull but not necessary as you can reach through the portlight with your third hand once you get them loose. On another note, I found that this was a very good place for water to enter the boat. The design of the track makes the area around the bolt hole pretty hard to seal due to the very small contact area. You will also want to seal the boat head in the track hole to keep water from getting in that way. Good luck

Ripped mine out

Genoa car popped right off in heavy wind on my H320 because the machine screw had stripped out. Replacing with a slightly larger 5/16 after I tap it first very carefully. Far as I can tell, there is no bolt attaching the original screw and in any case is inaccessable behind the roof liner which I can't see to get off. Of course it should be bolted but I don't think possible on mine. Good advice about the sealant too.

Genoa or Jib??

I gave instruction for the tracks that are mounted on the deck below the port lights. My boat did not have tracks on the cabin roof for a genoa. Sorry if I cause confusion.
