I finally put a furling system on with a new 155% Genoa. I am seeking advice on the placement of Genoa Tracks including their length.

good luck

I'm in the same boat - no pun intended. I don't think you will find a suitable place for tracks on the Mac. The lifeline stanchions are fully outboard on the deck and would defeat the purpose of tracks.

Nice information mrbill. It must be working for this person but when I called MacGregor after I first got my boat, they discouraged adding tracks there for structural reasons. If he isn't cracking, I guess Mac is wrong. In the meantime, I've sacrificed comfort for performance. I have bimini tracks where his winches are. I wish I had never done that, I never move the cover. Maybe I'll remove them someday. He doesn't have a furler, but I guess you would move the sheets to the inboard tracks if you reefed your genoa?

Nice Kaizen

That works with the bimini tracks! Do they get you the right sheet angle with a 155 genoa? mrbill's are further forward, more in agreement with the original fairleads. A different genoa perhaps?

Sheet angle

Justin, Works perfectly. PO put the Jib anchore point way back, see pic. I suppose it came from the factory like that. I use the original winch on the roof. The track allow me to adjust the sheet fairlead for full/furled/downwind etc on a 150%. Won a few races thus far. The beauty is the jib sheet is outside the lifeline. My measurament shows the roof top is too close making a steep sheet angle. I took a lot of pictures for measuremant before making the final decision.
