My son was sailing our 34' last week and as he tells it the wind went from about 15 kts. to 42 kts. He dropped the main, but I'm now missing the sheave on one of the genoa cars. I suspect it wasn't the velocity of the wind, but simply the bolt worked its way out. But in any case this is a Merriman Genoa Car. I'll check the usual places, West Marine, etc. But has someone replaced their genoa cars to their 34' Hunter and perhaps have the old ones around? Is Merriman still in business? Know of a salvage yard that I might ask? Thanks.
