I am interested in increasing the sail size for the fore sail from the factory equipted to maybe 135 % or even 150%? These sails are listen in the factory package of literature provided with boat manual, but 376 has no back stay. My concern is that it could be too much sail area when combined with the mainsail for the rigging. Where can I get professional help and/or actual experienced information for 376 factory equipted HUNTER? Thanx.

Exactly right

The huge roach mainsail precludes the need for anything more than a 110 jib. In a brisk wind, you would be overpowered with a genoa. To get the best of both worlds, keep the jib and get a spinnaker for light winds and broad reaching. The HOW Archives have other comments on jib vs. genoa as well as lots on flying the spinnaker.
