I am considering buying a Hunter 33.5 and would like to install a generator of sufficient size to run the 16,500 heat and air unit. Has any one installed or have a generator on one of these.
I have the 16700 btu unit from ocean breeze installed on my hunter 30 and run it on a honda 2000 2 kw generator. Not sure of the amperage on your unit, but the honda 2000 runs mine just fine and very quiet. Weighs 45 lbs and pretty quiet. Very happy with both units.
Runs the air on the H320. Problem, when powering the AC it only runs approximately 5 hours on a tankful. We have added an external 3.5 Gal tank to avoid having to get up in the wee hours to refuel. It runs the air and works the inboard battery charger simultaneously with no problems.
