I currently own a Hunter 270 and I am looking to upgrade to a bigger Hunter 326 (I think that is the model number, it is one size smaller than the 356 and one size bigger then the 306!) If you can give me any answers they would be greatly appreciated! 1. What is the difference between the two blade and the optional three blade propellor in terms of power and steering? 2. Is there a problem or reasons not to get a furling main sail (is it bad for the sail?)? 3. What is the maximum hull speed of this boat? 4. Any general comments. Thank you in advance for any help or advice anyone can give me.

I have a 326 and love it.

I can't answer all your questions but I went with the standard sail because of the larger area and roach and battens. I use lazy jacks with few problems. I have had a 326 for over a year and love it. It is a joy to sail. I have the 2 blade prop and it works for me. I would check the engine power curve vs the curve for the propellor and look at the drag it would create.

1. 3-blade has more power, and Hunter should know which blade is preferable. Check the specs elsewhere on this web site. 2. Certainly not bad for the sail, and good for your back. 3. 6.55 4. Bigger is always better. Go for it.

Had a 326 - buy a 356

Had a 326,great boat - but the 356 is a mega step up. In fact went to the boat show to buy one, got the 426 DS instead, but that is another story. Look at the 356, although the 326 is very nice.
