I am sailing and refurbishing a 1982 hunter 19. My immediate concern are replacing
the two springs the kick the the rudder back after it raises up for whatever reason.
Currently the rudder does not sit vertically, but is raised at a straight angle which makes
steering pretty tough.
I also bought a new 6 hp long shaft outboard for the boat. the follow up service is less than desirable. my problem is that it often stalls/cuts out at bottom idle. This is a killer
when I am trying to back into the slip. Otherwise the motor runs fine at higher idle when its
propelling the sailboat on the water.
