I have a pair of Lifeline AGM batteries, and a new Genasun GV-10 charge controller for my small solar array (currently only 30 watts, probably to be expanded to 60-80 sometime soon).
The Lifeline specifications call for bulk / absorption voltage of 14.2-14.4 and float at 13.2-13.4.
The Genasun offers 2 settings, neither of which exactly match those levels.
Flooded: Bulk=14.6, Absorb=14.4, Float=13.5
Sealed: Bulk=14.3, Absorb=14.1, Float=13.7
My tendency is to use the sealed setting (which also eliminates equalization, as recommended per http://forums.sbo.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?p=991140&highlight=lifeline genasun), but I don't want to damage expensive batteries with a float voltage .3 volts higher than their design spec.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
