I was wiped out by Hurricane Catrina and am now on the South Tx coast. Im thinking of buying a Hunter 37 Cutter around a 1977 to 1980 model.I am totally unfamiliar with cutters, and can someone tell me what to look for in buying this model?
Sorry to hear about your loss from the storm. I would be at a total loss if it happened here. Hang in there. Now, about the boat. I am not saying you should not get a cutter, but what made you decide to go for a cutter over a sloop? How was the Catalina 30 rigged? and did you like sailing it? I almost bought a cutter, but I ended up with a sloop. A good choice for me.
