I got a chip in the gel coat in the salon of my 92 Legend 43. Any suggestions on how to repair it and match the color (off white)?

I used Marine-Tex (bought at West Marine) to do some gel-coat repair last weekend. It worked great. I don't know how you get the color to match though.

Chip repair
I also have always used Marine-Tex to repair exterior gel coat chips as it sands perfectly smooth and is totally water proof. However, if this is a small shallow chip and color-matching is important, West Marine sells gel coat repair kits to which one can add coloring in order to attempt a color match, which usually requires trial and error.

But it still doesn't match my '88 35. Too yellow. My gel-coat is probably faded to a whiter color. The repair is easy (see archives and earlier posts), matching the color is the tough part.
