We are looking to buy an older Cat 22 or 25 and I have come across something I have never seen. On the side of at least two boats (a 79 '22 and a 78 '25) near the water line what looks like the very outer layer of the gel coat is peeling. It kind of looks like after you have had a big spot skin peel from sunburn with the rough edges all around (sorry best decription I could come up with) My question is this some thing to be worried about structurally or is it just cosmetic and any suggested fixes.
