Hello , Anyone that could tell mewere to get a control cable for my gearbox? A 79 hunter with a yanmar 2gm10 I have searched everywhere and can't find one thanks

Hunter used mostly Teleflex brand control cables on their boats. Most any marine chandlery will have what you need. Pull the old one and take it with you to compare.

I agree with the replies above.... I will add, wherever you buy it, get a dependable brand name cable and it will last many trouble free years....

Hi Lee, before making the trip, call them with the length of old cable, a description of any fittings on either end and see whether they have it in stock. Specify Teleflex brand and boat model. If not in stock they can order in for you thus a trip saved.

Our H28 had a threaded stud on the pedestal end for a bronze clevis that attached to the shift lever. I think the transmission end had something similar, but not sure.

Thank's Terry will do mine has a turnbuckle for adjustment on each end have got my yanmar engine running finaly and discoverd the gear cable is frayed and about to break!
