I have a 1980 Catalina 30 with an Atomic 4 gas engine. Does any know how you can check if oil from the engine is going into the gear cage to lubricate it and how to check if the hole in the end of the crankshaft is blocked or not. Also, does anyone have instructions on how to remove the gear cage?

four bolts hold a cover on the transmission- remove the bolts and cover and you're looking at the transmission
