Hello Sailers, I am in the process of trying to replace my gear shifting cable on my Edson Pedestal Steering unit on my Hunter Legend 37. What a 'PAIN" Those guys at Edson should be made to do "HARD TIME". Never have I ever encountered a more user "UNFRIENDLY" system in my life. I have followed their "SIC" factory instructions on cable replacement and low and behow, it dosen't work. After I removed the cable holder nut I should have been able to pull both cables up to reach the cable holder unit. No way Hozea! It ain't gonna move. I have plenty of free cable in the loop, it should easily move up the stack of this "LOUSY" pedestal steering system with no access portals, but , no way. Nothing is moving. My cable I believe is the Morse 33c solid metal wire type. But this baby ain't moving. Come on experts, What's my solution besides selling my Edson Stock. I have found over the years that regardless of what most manufactureres have said the real story is with all of us Sailers. How can I remove this cable short of removing the pedestal itself which is my next step. Save me from this agony. Many Thanks, Barrie
