Gasoline in diesel

Recently put diesel in the red can inadvertantly. It was empty except for whatever gasoline didn't poor out when we filled the lawn mower. That could be as much as 2 ounces. How much gasoline can be mixed with 5 gal of diesel and still be OK for the diesel engine? Geoff

Gas in diesel

I work with a fleet of diesel trucks and sometimes someone puts in gas instead of diesel. I dont think that a couple of ounces of gas will hurt at all. remember when you put in the five gallons you are diluting it that much more with what is already in the tank.
