My Hunter 27 has an 8hp Renault diesel. There is a chamber that appears to be a fuel regulater, it is not the chamber with the fuel filter. The gasket got worn and now there is diesel leaking. I'm trying reseal this to eliminate the leaking. I've built a new gasket using gasket material I picked up at a NAPA auto parts store, but to no avial. Any chance I can find the actual gasket part. I know this is a pretty obscure engine and parts are very hard to come by.

Ned, where is this located on the engine? I'm trying to think of what you are talking about. Is it the fuel pump on the transmission (reversing gear)? If it is, I used gasket material from Pep Boys without a problem. It's probably the same thing you used. Also Permatex makes quite a few products for use as a sealant/gasket. Manny
