Does any one know where the batterys were located on a 1979 Catalina 25 for the outboard, running lights, etc. on the original design. The boat I have had a hole ,with a door cut beside the quater berth under the cockpit. This puts the batteries on the port side of the hull and in the same space as the gas tank. The distance between the tank and the batterys is about 4 ft. but this area has no ventilation, so the danger of a spark causing a fire worries me. I have a feeling the batterys were on the starboard side under the seat in the main cabin.
