I hae 2 outboard gas tanks not leaking from the tank but both pickup parts that the hose hooks up to are both leaking and wondering what glue or expoxy could I use to seal these fairly new in great condition.
my wife wants me to throw them out and buy new and will do if I can't find some kind of sealing expoxy that can with stand gas.

If leaking around the fitting-to-tank junction, there is no good way to fix it. The gasoline is not so much a problem as getting something to stick to the tank material itself.. Usually crosslinked or high density poly, no normal adhesives stick to it very well.. Sometimes can be heat welded, but I think your wife is right on that one, Nick..

Picture. The description is not specific. A fitting (fixable) or a crack in the tank (not fixable after the tank has been used). Generally plastic and FRP tanks are not fixable once used because the gas/diesel permeates the plastic and nothing will stick well. FRP tanks that have contained hydrocarbons (even for a short time) in refinery service are generally considered non-repairable.
