Last week I tried to get tide info from my older GPS's. Both are 1990's vintage. One is a hand held GPSmap 92 and the other is fixed mounted GPSmap182. Neither would give tide info. The 93 shows the graph but never fills it in. The 182 shows the same but with the message "Inaccurate Data". Both worked fine in 2010. Is this a system wide problem or have my GPS's expired?. The Garmin site is silent about this issue. I have not tried calling.

Neither have had software updates (yet) since purchase

Thanks for your time to answer.

Sailm8, make sure the date is correct on your devices. There have been some bugs with those. Check the garmin website for updates to your firmware as they may not be current. I can give you more info on this if you like.

Here is the update info for the 182.

There is no GPSMAP 92 that I can find. I do see a GPS 92 that had it's last update in 2002. You may be out of luck on this one.

Thanks for the info. I did try changing the year back to 2010 and it worked. Hopefully an update will fix it. I will post the results.

tide data file

Just update the software. The tide data is a static file in the update. All that has happened is the static tide data has reached the end of file date wise. The new file has the more current and future dates.
