Does anyone know where I can get updated Data cards for my Garmin 182 C GPS/ chart plotter? Garmin tells me that they no longer have Data Cards available for this model. Thanks...
I don't think so Stu. But I do see them come up on eBay once in a while. I have one from my old 182c that I still use for laptop planning.Stu Jackson said:Tim, is Garmin still supporting the CD-ROM? You'd need the unlock codes, too, to transfer the data.
Check out the wiring diagram Chris. You can connect an rs232 db9 to the wiring harness. Use an rs232 to USB adapter to connect to your laptop if it does not have a db9 serial port.Chris Patterson said:Hmm. That would be WAY cool. The odd thing is, (and because I'm too dumb to figure it out), is when I've researched linking cables for this apparatus, all I'm finding is RS232 to USB. My Garmin is not RS232. It has a round plug in the back of it, that IDEALLY, I would want to plug in to USB. That make sense? (It barely did to me)...
