Can anybody recommend the best place to buy a Garmin bluechart G2 Vision card for desolation sound area

might try WMJ Marine. I got the navionics plat+ chart for Vancouver Is for A LOT less.

You can try the internet, but I believe Garmin controls the pricing of its products pretty tightly. When I was looking for a GPS handheld, specifically the CPS Map 76cx, I was surprised that I couldn't find it cheaper, even on the net (other than e-bay, which I don't like to use much). I ended up getting it at West Marine as cheaply as I found anywhere else.

vision cards are pricey--320 usd retail. i use g2 non vision and i88 found some at 99 usd total..is why i like the older models...

Ebay is not bad. You won't get the most recent release. The sellers can tell you the release date and you make the decision.
