Has anyone replaced the mainsheet traveller on a 1985 H28.5 with a Garhauer MT-1 Traveller? I am considering the Garhauer unit based on the number of great reviews I have read on this site. However, from the Garhauer catalog it looks as if the control line cam cleats might interfere with the port/starboard folding cockpit seats. From the centerline of the existing RWO XT-2 track to the edge of the folding seats there is only 2" of clearance. I am not sure how far the cam cleats project aft of track centerline for the MT-1 car assembly as the Garhauer website does not provide dimensional info. Any advice from those that are using this unit or photos of actual installations would be appreciated. Regards, Dale

I met the folks from Garhauer at the Chicago Strictly Sail Show this year. They were extremely helpful and have a great selection of items to choose from. I'm sure if you call them and tell them your concerns, they would be willing to help you out. I just ordered new blocks for my boat from them and the quality is incredible. Check the loads for the same size blocks from Harken or Ronstan and then compare prices. You'll be surprised at the difference. They sell direct so there is no middle man. It really keeps their prices down.
