Garhauer Hardware question

Looked at their rope clutches during the Annapolis show
Anyone have opinion on their quality in general good bad or otherwise

Their rigging good?

Garhauer rope clutches are quite good.

The only downside or negative is that they can abrade the rope quite severely if there is a variable or cyclic load on the 'stopped' line; and, especially if the rope is pulled through a closed clutch.

Mine Are 18 Years Old...

... and work great. I never pull the rope through a closed clutch (on purpose). Why would you anyway? There is a newer model than mine available. Anyhow, good design, great execution and tops in service.

I have their EZ track adjustable jib cart product and have been very happy with it. Good price and was very easy to install. The system is still working great 3 years later with mimimal mantenance on my part

I have systematically replace all my Schaefer hardware with Garhauer and don't regret a single item. Great folks to do business with, too.

Glad you asked the question. The only Garhauer product we have is a Rigid vang and really like it. When we are ready for some of the other items we will compare the Garhauer products for those items also
