I am getting absolutely no water out of my galley faucets, but I do get water (and at an appropriate pressure)out of my sink and shower faucets in the head. There is plenty of water in the tank and the water pump seems to be working fine. I believe I may have lost the prime to my galley sink faucets in my attempt to drain the antifreeze out of the system this spring. Does my diagnosis sound correct? If so, how should I re-prime?

I'm not sure how much different the 37' is from the 28.5' but on my 28.5, the head and galley lines are interconnected. If you have sink but not galley, the only reason I think would be a plugged faucet outlet. Check to see if there is a screen in there that might be plugged. tom

How long are leaving the faucets on before...

You decide they're not gonna deliver any water? 'Cuz unless there's leak or a blockage somewhere in the plumbing, sooner or later they will re-prime. Are they hissing and spitting...or just "dead?" If they're hissing & spitting, they'll re-prime as soon as all the air is out of the line...if they're "dead," there's either no water pressure in that line, or there's a total blockage...perhaps a kink.

Peggy - hissing/spitting

Peggy The faucets hissed as I tried to run the antifreeze through the system. Now they are dead. I will try two things and see if they work: 1. Leave the faucets on for some time and see if they begin to finally pump water. 2. Walk through the system to see of there is a kink or blockage. If you have any other thoughts, let me know. Bob

On thought

I had the same experience with the head hot water faucet not working and the galley working. I took the head faucets off, and ran some water out the pipe. I also stuck a small wire up the pipe, wiggled it around, and it worked. Only explanation that I can think of is that I used teflon tape to reconnect the hot water tank and got some in the line that then clogged in the faucet. Either I blew it out when I ran water through the pipe, or dislodged it with the wire. Bottom line, is why not take the pipe off and see if water runs to the faucets. Do this when your spouse is not around, or let her hold the bucket . . . . <grin>

Water Flow

I have a 1984 Hunter 34 and I clean my tanks yearly with Puriclean since I like to drink my tap water. Even though my boat is 17 years old it seems every time I do the cleaning little bits of white plastic (tank material?) clog the faucet screen. Especially in the galley. I recently replaced the galley faucet and have the best flow I have had in 6.5 years
