Needless to say, we have suddenly LOST our Galley sink strainer, any idea as to get a replacement-preferably a local hardware or RV place. I need a size or number any help would be appreciated. The head sink strainer is NOT the same. Much Thanks

Try go2marine online. I just got a whole Forespar sink drain fitting from them, they might sell the strainers. Or try CD.

I cannot tell you all the "fun" I am having with this. Between CD,Catalina yachts, a local RV dealer and an Internet camping supply place that is about two hours and a 1/2 from my house..This is way too much fun for one man to have....
I am going back to CD and am waiting on a return call from Warren Pandy- Catalina Yachts. It seems that when they built our boats they used a variety of parts depending on when they were built and what was available. One place wanted twice the cost of the part to ship it within 200 miles! Anyway, I am still on it and will keep you posted by the way Catalina Yachts said "You may as well order from CD because of the cost of paperwork etc". Catalina Direct says here is the manufacturer=call them... NICE!

unless you are looking for a plug for the sink, the stainless mesh strainers that you can get MANY places and easily replace when crummy, work really well. We have them in the galley sink, the head sink and both scuppers in the cockpit.

sorry to be redundant... on a previous tread a couple days ago I preached the same sermon.

Thanks for your help guys, after MANY phone calls to MANY organizations. I took the suggestion to go to LOWES, and there we found the KEENEY manufactureing co. bar sink strainer with insert- for less than $5.00, we brought it up to the boat and it has 4 rubber tabs on the bottom, I cut one off and will have to trim another down BUT It works! We also took Luzs advice and also bought the strainer, which we ended up taking back along with the rubber stopper, in case my idea did not work. So this works, thanks to all again!
