My faucet spout came out of the faucet assembly, and I had a small gusher of water. Upon examining the spout, there are two o-rings at the base, but nothing that will keep the spout in place. When I tighten the collar to attach the spout to the faucet, the spout is still easily removed. What keeps the spout from coming out of the faucet? I'm thinking some kind of clamp, but there is no evidence of any. Thanks!!!

There may not be one.

I haven't gone out to my boat to check this out but, there may not be a clamp if there are 2 O rings. There isn't enought pressure with this type of system to blow off the spout. I will look later today if I get a chance. Dean

Spout

Hi Dean- Thanks...but I finally figured it out. There is actually a plastic hard plastic washer that will fit into the top recess on the spout. This is compressed by turning screwing the reataing ring onto the faucet. I was able to make my own washer. I bought a washer at my local hardware store for about $2. Thanks! -jp
