Who has replaced the Hunter 2knob faucet in the galley? I have "disliked" the slippery knobs for 10 yrs on my H376 and I'd like to put a single handle type in there. My question is can I use a "Home Depot" type or do I need a "marine" faucet. I can't imagine why a any quality faucet wouldn't work.
Thanks. Bob.

Galley Faucet

I did mine several years ago and have been very happy with the results. Mine is a normal kitchen unit from Price-Phister .. Measure very carefully to make sure you have clearance under the counter top for the big attaching nut .. I also had to find one that would clear the little seawater spigot in the sink.
Works great BUT it would really be fine to have one with a master on/off valve that you could actuate with a foot.. That would save a lot of water.. The newer touch activated ones would probably do that pretty well.

I replaced mine 5 years ago with a Price Pfister "Laundry Fawcet" with 4 inch centers on the two valves. I got it at Lowes for $22.67including tax. It warks fine and no regrets. I also replaced the vanity Sink fawcet with one from Home Depot for similar cost.

Galley faucet...

Bob:
Here is a pic of one we installed a little over a year ago. The single handle design is much more convenient. We found it online for $15.

We purchased a Glacier Bay with TOP MOUNT Installation. This Top Mount made it extremely easy to install.

Try Scandvik

Good quality chroming is important in a marine instalation. Best to avoid the cheapie hardware store stuff.

When our originally '88 Grohe galley pull-out faucet finally started looking rough, and considering the abuse the prior owner had done to the hose, we went with a Scandvik unit.

Not cheap, but it works beautifully, and will probably be the last one we buy for the galley.
