I have a Garman GPS 175 that I use on my 1994 23.5 primarily on Lake Michigan. I'll be spending some vacation time on Lake Huron, and wondered is anyone has a Micro Chart they woould like to rent or sell. Hate to throw away $100 for a one time use.

Throw away?

John, I think you're missing the point of having charts. You're spending $100 to protect your larger investment, namely your boat, your life, and your family's life (not necessarily in that order). You can buy charts from several sources, including the Canadian Hydrographic Services (gov't organization). Charts typically cost $20.00. You can find lots of links by searching (i.e., through www.google.com) for "canadian hydrographic" or "canadian hydrographic chart" Here are a few: home page: www.chs-shc.dfo-mpo.gc.ca list of dealers selling Canadian charts: http://chartnet.chs-shc.dfo-mpo.gc.ca:8080/cgi-bin/chartnet/client_acc/x_dealers_homepage.phtml?coords=&coord_quadrant& Enjoy your vacation. Your US dollar is worth close to a dollar and a half in Canada.
