I'm pretty certain this was Brett's attachment, for those who didn't receive it.

Hi,
the thrift store received the boat(#137) from the
San Pedro United Methodist Church. It had been donated
to their Anchors Away program , a sailing program for
underprivileged kids. They had removed most hardware
and had given her a good sanding. When it was driven
into the parking lot I was in my studio across the
street. I am a kiwi ex patriot artist and have dreamed
of having my own boat here in the States, like most
NZers I sailed as a child and crewed while a youth .
The boat("Celerity") sat in the parking lot for 2
weeks there was only a mast and boom laying next to it
, local rumor had it as a junker. I called a friend
who raced his boat out of the Mariner Y.C. his opinion
was not helpful either. No one at the thrift store
knew what type of boat it was but to my eye it was a
sturdy little ship. They did n,t know if there was any
gear to go with it either, I waited another day before
I offered $500. They were happy to have the offer and
asked if I could move it that night. It was on a
cradle so I winched it onto my tandem trailer and
drove her across the street, where she rests today.
There was a lot of gear it turned out, the church
delivered it the following week. So it seems I may
have a dream come true by January.
