ATTENTION VEGA VOLVO OWNERS! Have series two Vega with original MD6a and panel. Trying to find someone that knows something about the 3 lights on my engine instrument panel as well as the three pull out switches. Im sure one switch must be for lighting the oil pressure guage and water temp guage. My lens on the three lights are pretty old but looks like I had a blue ,red and orange. I think the blue would be oil pressure, the orange charging and the red temp, but not sure. I believe the orange lite should come on when the dynastarter is not charging. The blue lite should come on initially and then go out to indicate oil pressure is up and good. Can anybody confirm these functions? Panel itself, (photo attached) looks like bronze beneath the salt and corrosion and will try to polish that up. Cheap lens for lites are available at auto stores here but hope to find originals from Volvo. They have a large spring behind lens which looks like it did a good job of keeping
water out of lights and lens. Tach isnt working on right side of panel which could be due to wires disconnected or mabe bad sending unit. Any feedback or imfo on function or spare parts is appreciated! Yearn for the day I can sail instead of work on these things.Have sailed 2 days in 3 years... I'm having a mainsail cut for sv/Puffin!
Does anyone out there have the dimentions of the sail slides that fit inside proctor mast and bolt rope diameter for foot of sail.
Thanks a bunch.
