Forward Hatch
I used an aluminum Bomar 20"x20" (nominal) Low Profile to replace the original equipment Plastic hatch; it was an almost perfect drop in fit on our 1986 28.5. However, when replacing the 10"x10" (nominal)mid bay hatch, I had to use an orbital sander to widen out the opening 1/4 to 3/8" and re-seal the edges with Marinetex. toget a perfect fit.
