Need some help. I have a 26X and would like to get a furling system but not sure which one. Is the Macgregor system a good one, or should I go with another type? And if so where would I get a good one for a reasonable cost. Thanks

The CDI is the Mac standard. I have had mine for 2 years without any problems. The CDI warranty is interesting - for instance, running it over with a car does void the warranty.

Add a Block!

Hi Francis..... I have the CDI setup on my 98' 26X. (www.sailcdi.com) Works fine but........ I would add a block on the cockpit top rail and a real cleat down from the jam cleat. The furler is a HARD pull when reefing in and the block will help on this. The line is some kind of parachute cord and slips through the jam cleat, slowly ADDING sail while you are not looking. The cleat will prevent this hazard. I also changed out the line to 3/16 double braid for easier grip. happy furling.....dan
