Can someone tell me how to go about changing a furling line on a Hood Seaworthy , furling jib.I can not seem to seperate both cylinders, I don't want to force it, please help.
I had a Hood system on my Hunter 27. If you have the continuos line like I had, then you just cut it off, purchase a new length, and have a guy come down to the boat yard and spice it together.Sorry,Jack
Carlos,I don't have my boat manual with me....it's on the boat under I don't know how much snow. But, the drum separates by loosening a set screw that is (I think) on the metal sleeve above the drum. If somebody doesn't come up with the procedure, I'll get back with you on it.Brad
