How do you thread a new jib furling line through the slot ion a Hunter 170?

There is a plastic pipe possibly ribbed but you can put a snake thru it like I use to with wire but taped a wad of paper towels or a rag at the head so it would not catch inside with a tracer line taped to it.

I've used a plastic covered 1X19 SS wire as a snake in the past with good success.
